Terms of Use
Last updated: April 23, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of guitarlicksanonymous.com, the GuitarAnon products, and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Guitar Licks Anonymous ("GuitarAnon," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Service. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
- One person per account. No sharing or transferring of accounts.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear inactive for an extended period.
3. Subscriptions and payments
- Paid plans (Pro monthly, Pro annual) auto-renew until canceled. Pricing and billing frequency are shown at checkout.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
- A 7-day free trial, if offered, converts to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from the billing portal; your Pro access continues until the end of the current period.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
Refunds
Subscriptions: we offer a 7-day refund on first-time Pro subscriptions if requested in writing. PDF/EPUB downloads and single-track MP3 purchases are final and non-refundable once delivered, because the file is delivered instantly. We will of course refund duplicate or erroneous charges.
4. License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use.
Royalty-Free Music Library
Tracks marked royalty-free may be used in videos, podcasts, streams, and other content you produce, including monetized and commercial content. You may not: resell the track as a standalone audio file, upload it to stock-music or sample-pack marketplaces, distribute it as a ringtone or audio loop, or claim authorship of the composition. Attribution is appreciated but not required.
PDFs, EPUBs, tabs
Digital downloads are licensed for your personal use. You may print them for your own use. You may not redistribute, upload to file-sharing sites, resell, or publicly post the files.
Video lessons & chord charts
Video and chord-chart content on the site is for personal study. Do not scrape, copy, or mirror the content, or bypass the access controls around Pro content.
5. User submissions
The Service lets you submit content (for example, a cover recording of a song). By submitting content you represent that:
- You created the recording and own the performance rights in it.
- You understand the underlying composition may be subject to third-party copyright; your submission does not include any cleared third-party master recording.
- You grant GuitarAnon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, feature, and promote your submission on the site and across our social channels, with credit to you if you wish.
- If we select your submission to feature, you will receive free lifetime access to the Pro plan. We decide at our sole discretion whether a submission is selected.
- You can ask us to remove your submission at any time by emailing hello@guitarlicksanonymous.com.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, abusive, or deceptive.
- Upload malware or interfere with the Service's operation.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, paywalls, or bot protections.
- Scrape, data-mine, or systematically harvest content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation.
7. Third-party songs and artists
References to songs, artists, and lyrics on the Service are used for educational purposes. All trademarks, names, and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners. GuitarAnon is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any artist, band, or label referenced.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content and cited third-party materials) are owned by Guitar Licks Anonymous and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you beyond the limited license in Section 4.
9. DMCA / copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@guitarlicksanonymous.com including: identification of the work, the URL of the infringing material, your contact info, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove material and terminate repeat infringers.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GUITARANON, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuitarAnon from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the Member area or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution).
14. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and GuitarAnon agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, for any dispute not subject to arbitration. To the extent required by applicable consumer-protection law, you retain any mandatory rights in your home jurisdiction.
