Guitar Licks Anonymous ("GuitarAnon," "we," "us") operates guitarlicksanonymous.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

• Account info — username, email, hashed password (or Google/Apple account identifier when you sign in with those providers).
• Purchase info — processed entirely by Stripe. We receive your customer ID, plan status, and the last four digits of your card; we never see your full card number.
• Usage data — pages viewed, clicks, device and browser metadata, approximate location derived from IP. Collected via first-party logs and Cloudflare.
• Content you submit — if you upload a cover recording or contact us, we store the file and message you send.
• Cookies & local storage — session, preference, and anti-bot tokens (Cloudflare Turnstile). No third-party advertising cookies.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service — authentication, Pro entitlements, download delivery, email confirmations.
• To operate and improve the site — debugging, abuse prevention, and understanding which features people use.
• To communicate — transactional emails (receipts, password resets), and occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from.
• To feature submitted covers (only with your explicit permission at upload).

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

3. Legal basis (EU/UK users)

• Contract — to deliver the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest — security, fraud prevention, product improvement.
• Consent — marketing email; you can withdraw any time.
• Legal obligation — tax records, responding to lawful requests.

4. Who we share it with

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, DDoS/bot protection (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
• Email provider — transactional email delivery.
• Legal — if required by subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed there. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's equivalent mechanism.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 3 years after deletion for tax and dispute-resolution purposes. Transactional logs are kept up to 13 months. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 8).

7. Security

All traffic is served over TLS. Passwords are hashed with a modern KDF. Payment card data never touches our servers. We still recommend using a unique password and enabling multi-factor authentication where offered.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data.
• Correct or delete your data.
• Export (data portability).
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Withdraw consent to marketing.
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EU/UK) or your state's attorney general (California).

California (CCPA/CPRA) notice

California residents have the rights above and the right to direct us not to sell or share personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA.

9. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from them. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information and we will delete it.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary and functional cookies / local-storage entries: session token, Pro entitlement cache, theme and language preferences, and Cloudflare's bot-management token. No advertising trackers.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page; continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
